Hotel Jakar View is located about 1.5 kms away from Chamkhar town at Jalikha village. The Hotel is set on a hill, overlooking the fortress (Jakar Dzong) on others side of the valley. The hotel is a family run business, though the hotel has additional staff trained in different sectors of industry. Experience the Bhutanese hospitality as you are welcomed with a cup of additional Bhutanese local drink (ara).

about room

The hotel has fifteen deluxe rooms, tastefully and elegantly furnished with wood panels. Rooms are large and spacious with traditional architecture and a modern interior which completes the experience for the guests who are sure to be pampered by professionally trained Bhutanese staff.

Windows are designed ideally to overlook the river and guests can look through beautiful surroundings with a panoramic view of mountains.

khuru (dart) traditional game

We welcome our guests to experience  “khuru” unlike in many Western countries where darts are played in pubs, in Bhutan, this is a national outdoor sport. Darts, called ‘khuru’ in the Dzongkha language.

archery (national game)

We arrange archery for guests on request. Archery in Bhutan is the national sport of the Kingdom. Archery was declared the national sport in 197, when Bhutan became a member of the United Nations.

hot stones bath

A visit to Hotel Jakar View would be incomplete without experiencing a hot stone bath, and hence this must feature on every visitor’s itinerary. A Bhutanese hot stone bath is the perfect way to relax and wind down after a long day of sightseeing. and is also believed to have numerous health benefits.

cultural events on request

At the guest’s request, we will also arrange traditional events mostly personal with birthdays, festival days, marriages, receptions, and anniversaries. Given their nature, they are meant to remember a particular day or event, and celebrate it for its worth, and are run by emotions.
